A blind man applies for a job at a lumber yard. The owner interviews him and asks how a blind man such as he could help his compamy.

The blind man says he had a good sense of smell that he had to develop to make up for being sightless. The owner goes out into the lumber yard and comes back with a board. The blind man sniffs it and states, "That is a 2 by 4 by 8 feet long made of yellow pine." The owner was surprised to see that the blind man was right. The owner goes out into the yard and gets another board and lets the blind man smell it. The blind man takes about 30 seconds and after sniffing the board up and down says, " That is a 2 by 8 by 12 feet long and its made of cedar. The owner goes into the yard gets a board, takes it into the women's bathroom where he wipes it down with used sanitary napkins in the trash can and then has his secretary urinate on it. He takes it into the blind man and the blind man sniffs it very engentically for 5 minutes and says "That is a hatch cover off a tuna boat"
